QUALIFICATIONS
Shelly’s House exists to serve a very specific population at-risk of homelessness
Women releasing from incarceration who struggle with addiction. All occupants are under the supervision of Marion County Parole and Probation. Because of the unique circumstances and needs of the targeted population, the Board of Shelly’s House does not select occupants of Shelly’s House. Perspective occupants are screened by Marion County who makes the placement decision. Marion County makes the placement, Shelly’s House provides a safe environment for women to recover and transition.
Criteria:
- Under the supervision of Marion County Parole and Probation.
- 30 days of sobriety. Urine analysis upon entry, and randomly throughout stay.
- No history of arson
- No other safe, appropriate housing option.
- Must be able and willing to follow Shelly’s House rules and transition model.

What to bring to Shelly’s House?
- Due to space personal items are to be restricted to a limited amount.
- Shelly’s House is not responsible for personal loss/theft, so only bring what is necessary to transition.
- Food. Shelly’s House occupants have access to a kitchen, a stove, a refrigerator, and a small storage cabinet.
- Personal hygiene items. Shelly’s House has onsite showers and laundry facilities.
